25 Nov Happy Thanksgiving
Psalm 92:1 – “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD…”
As I am writing this note, I have just finished eating a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my family…deep fried turkey and all of the fixings. For my family, and all that God has done for me, I am truly thankful. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord…is so true. I love Thanksgiving, because it is at least one time during the year that people will pause and give thanks for what they have. Sad to say though, there are many people who are “thankful” , but they are not thankful to the Lord. As Christians, we are fully aware from whence our blessings come…from the Lord. God is so good to us all of the time…and I hope and pray that everyone reading this post will take some time to reflect upon all of the benefits the Lord has bestowed upon them. Each and every day is filled with blessings from above. So, let’s give the Lord thanks.
But in all of our thankfulness, let us all remember…the true measure of our thanksgiving is not what we say about our blessings…but how we use them.
