I apologize for those who have been coming to this blog for updates and not finding anything. I will begin to regularly update the site starting this next week. These blogs will have content from the messages I preached at BBC as well as opinions on the news of the day and general family updates. I look forward to hearing from you...

"Seven Steps to Success" 1) Make a commitment to grow daily. 2) Value the process more than events. 3) Don't wait for inspiration. 4) Be willing to sacrifice pleasure for opportunity. 5) Dream big. 6) Plan your priorities. 7) Give up to go up. * John Maxwell...

John 10:7-11, “Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd...

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. While choosing voluntarily to stay under his leadership, they commit themselves to finding and exploiting every possible imperfection. I’ve never understood this thinking. Selecting a pastor, only to proceed to condemn the selection doesn’t make sense. It’s a strange, sad little game that brings some bizarre satisfaction. The next time you are tempted to join this crowd and participate in “roasted pastor” after Sunday services, take a moment to remember this...

I always look forward to Resurrection Sunday every year. I am thankful for the opportunity to not only reflect upon the meaning of the resurrection, but to preach to the people of Berean Baptist Church. The church was full of members and visitors and there was a sweet spirit. There were no professions of faith, but one raised his hand for prayer about salvation and I got a chance to talk with him briefly afterward. I want to thank everyone that helped prepare the church campus the day before and for all of the hard work...
